The site rules

Hello and welcome to Eternal Tales!

This site is designed to be a fun and safe place to role play, as such it is expected that all members will follow and respect the rules that are listed below. If you have any problems with anything here, don't hesitate to ask us about it.

Moderators and Administrators:

This site is run and maintained by a group of Moderators and Administrators who donate their time and effort to this forum and towards making it a better place for everyone. These people should be given your full respect, and anything they have to say should be listened to carefully. The current Administrators and Moderators are as follows:

If you have a question or concern about these Rules or anything else on the Forum, feel free to send a Moderator or Administrator a Private Message – just be aware it may take us a while to get back to you.

When a Moderator or Administrator is posting in an official capacity, they will use RED text to indicate that they are doing so. If ever a Moderator posts using this colour, it is definitely in your best interests to do what they say.

The Rules:

• No Flaming. I don't care about the circumstances, abusive or insulting behaviour towards another member is not acceptable and will not be tolerated on this forum. This includes derogatory comments relating to race, age, gender, sexuality, religious views, interests or just about anything. If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.
  (NOTE: In Character flaming is acceptable, but please be sure that you keep it In Character).
  
  
• No Spamming. Anything that is less than 50 words in length, does not contribute to the role play or topic, is blatantly advertising something or in some other way deemed to be spam will be deleted. You generally know when you're Spamming, so please don't.
  
  
• No Double Posting. If you are the last person to post in a topic, please try not to post in it again until somebody else has posted. Any such posts that are not made without very good reasons will be deleted by a Moderator.
  (NOTE: Individual role play topics and topics that have not been posted in for 48 hours are an exception to this rule).
  
  
• No Disrespecting the Staff. If you are rude to us, ignore what we tell you or in some other way show anything but respect to the moderators of this forum you will suffer the consequences. We do not have the time or the patience for people who are deliberately provocative towards us.
  (NOTE: A little bit of light teasing and anything In Character is acceptable, but please keep it at that).
  
  
• No God Modding. Your character is not invincible. In a role play your character should get hurt sometimes, and should lose just as much as they win. Please do not play as God. Even a very high level character should still be susceptible to some attacks and the like.
  
  
• No Controlling Other Characters. In most circumstances people do not want you to control their character for any reason. As such, it is not permitted to control the actions of another persons character regardless of the reasoning behind this.
  (NOTE: If you are going to be away for an extended period of time, an Admin or Moderator can temporarily control your character and we will not attempt to have your character killed so unless you wish for the admins to continue your fights we will nor will we start a new topic without the rp'ers consent.)
